ASPT, a general incorporated association (the "Association"), has established the following Privacy Policy. We protect personal information by building a framework for its protection and by ensuring that all staff understand its importance.

1. Management of personal information

We keep your personal information accurate and up to date, and take the measures necessary to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, alteration or leakage — including maintaining security systems, establishing a management structure and training our staff.

2. Purposes of use

We collect and use personal information only to the extent necessary for the following purposes:

  • Promotion of tournaments we are involved in, and publication of tournament results
  • Contacting you when necessary, including important notices
  • Informing you about tournaments we are involved in and other services we provide (including by email, flyers and other direct mail)
  • Requesting your cooperation with surveys or interviews about our tournaments and events, inviting you to events, and reporting the results
  • Responding to your opinions and enquiries
  • Providing personal information to companies participating in events we organize, based on your consent or application
  • Identifying and refusing participation by anyone who has violated our terms, or who attempts to take part in our tournaments or events for improper or unlawful purposes

3. Disclosure to third parties

We manage the personal information entrusted to us appropriately and do not disclose it to third parties except where:

  • You have given your consent
  • Disclosure is made to a contractor engaged to provide a service you have requested
  • Disclosure is required by law

4. Security

We take thorough security measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information.

5. Requests from individuals

If you wish to access, correct or delete your personal information, we will respond appropriately after confirming your identity. Please contact us using our contact form.

6. Compliance and review

We comply with Japanese laws and other norms applicable to the personal information we hold, and review this Policy from time to time to improve it.

Except where otherwise provided by law or by this Policy, this Policy may be amended. An amended Privacy Policy takes effect when users are notified by the method we specify or when it is posted on our website.
